Join us for our Together by the Sea Event! – a FREE family friendly event, filled with hands-on activity stations that celebrate the seaside, creativity and togetherness, designed to bring children, parents, carers and grandparents together.

We’ll be based at Chalkwell Beach, right by the Natural Paddling Pool, so bring a change of clothes in case anyone fancies a paddle.

Whether you’re exploring, creating or simply enjoying time with loved ones and new friends, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

  • Seaside Sand Art
Get creative with sand and PVA glue! Little ones can design their very own seaside masterpieces, exploring textures and colours along the way.
  • Beach Bingo
Grab a bingo card and go on a beach treasure hunt! See what you can spot and find along the shore in this fun, gentle activity that gets little ones exploring together.
  • Match the Seaside Gnome
Can you help find the missing pieces? A fun matching game where children can complete the picture of our seaside gnomes.
  • Fidgety Fish Interactive Story
Join in the fun with our very own Fidgety Fish! Little ones will follow along with a hand-made finger puppet in this playful, interactive storytime.
  • Water Baby Zone
A special seaside themed space for babies to enjoy!

This event is all about connection, inclusion and wellbeing – creating a welcoming space for families of all ages, including grandparents, to spend meaningful time together. Through play, exploration and shared experiences, we hope to inspire a love of the outdoors, spark curiosity about our local beach and support children’s sensory development in a fun and engaging way.

We can’t wait to welcome you for a few hours of smiles, discovery and fun out in the sea air!

As part of the Women in the Workplace project, funded by DHSC and run by Pregnant Then Screwed and Best Beginnings, we are excited to share that we have received an Accreditation for the Empowered Foundations training with a focus on women's reproductive health in the workplace. As part of the training, our managers accessed modules based on the topics of pregnancy loss, fertility, flexible working and eliminating bias to better understand the use of language, ways to support members of staff and increase knowledge base around these specific topics. Here at City Family we are striving to improve the support available for the women in our workplace
